Swarm Technology's strategically important issued patents define the architecture for plug-and-play intent-based autonomy, and heterogeneous interoperability in distributed computing.
As described in our patents, a networking system is configured to dynamically accept processing units on a plug-and-play basis without any communication with the main controller. In essence, main controller is decoupled from the proactive processing units that execute the software programs; this principle allows seamless scalability.
Our research and development efforts in IoT devices, robotics, and distributed processing have yielded a significant and growing global intellectual property portfolio.

PROBLEMS THAT WE SOLVE
distributed Processing
Is it possible to perform dynamically scalable distributed processing using heterogeneous processors?
LIMITATIONS
Current solutions allow distributed processing using heterogeneous processors, but are not dynamically scalable.
autonomous robots
Is it possible to build swarm-intelligent robots that allow limitless scalability and endless resiliency?
limitations
A current approach allows scalability and resiliency but lacks swarm-intelligence, as it falls into the realm of flocking. See Harvard University's 1024 Kilobots.
Another approach uses a central computer which allows some coordination, but lacks limitless scalability and endless resiliency. See Intel's Drone Show.
SOLUTION
We have modeled collective intelligence into an architecture and algorithm that we named
Solidarity Cell Architecture.
The patented Solidarity Cell Architecture enables dynamic-scalable heterogeneous distributed computing, artificial swarm intelligence, and intent-based automation at scale with limitless scalability and endless resiliency.
More specifically, this architecture operates using the five principles of swarm intelligence:
Awareness, Autonomy, Solidarity, Scalability, and Resiliency.
